Christmas Concerts 2010

The Reluctant Dragon

The Reluctant Dragon is a wonderful children’s story for grown-ups by Kenneth Grahame about a dragon who prefers writing poetry to fighting. A narrator weaves the story of the concern of the villagers of the threat of the dragon with St George coming to the rescue—at first for the villagers and then for the Dragon and the boy who has befriended him. The musical arrangement is by John Rutter.

We will also sing a setting of the famous carol from from Kenneth Grahame’s
Wind in the Willows. Other sets include “The trees of Christmas”and “Christmas Day, Christmas Night”

As is our tradition there will be an audience sing-along set of well known Christmas carols.
